Too Faced ‘Better Than Sex’ Mascara

(RRP – R449)

I’ve been using the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara for quite a while now and here’s my rundown on it;

The bristles are soft and feathery and the hourglass shaped brush holds a lot of product! One coat and my lashes are drenched from root to tip in this creamy black formula. The length and softness of bristles are often messy and imprecise,however my lashes are dense right down to the base of my lashes are fully curled at the tips.

‘One or two coats adds noticeable length, volume and curl, but a few extra coats will leave you runway-ready, look-at-me lashes’

The formula is definitely lush and for that reason you have to go a little easy with the second coat; my lashes got a tiny bit clumpy but the volume was extraordinary and length was that out of a magazine, so much so that I didn’t mind having to brush through my lashes with a clean spoolie -brow brush-.

My runway-ready lashes lasted all day, however I noticed that by the end of the day, it gets flaky and falls under my eyes quite a bit. The consistency was also a bit too thick and clumpy for my liking – I used contact solution to try and make it thinner, and this sort of helped.

At the end of the day, I used my Elements Of Evolution Bi-Phase make-up remover and the mascara wiped off easily leaving no residue behind.

The mascara definitely performs well, but for the hefty price tag attached I don’t think it’s worth it unless you willing to splurge a little. The Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara is next on my wishlist.
